FAQs

WEDDING FAQ

1. How will we get from the hotel to the wedding/reception?

We will provide shuttle transportation from the hotel to the ceremony and back to the hotel after the reception. Details below:

Departing Marriott: 4:45PM and 5:10PM

Departing Granite Links: 10:30PM and 11:30PM

2. How should we get to and from the airport?

There are a few options:

A. Rent a car at Logan and drive. It will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Parking is available at the hotel for $11/day.
B. Take a taxi or Uber. The fare will likely be around $30-$50.
C. Take the T: Hop on the silver line bus to South Station, then take the red line train southbound toward Braintree. Get off at the Quincy Adams station. Marriott offers a free shuttle from the station to the hotel. Call the hotel for schedule and availability: 617-472-1000. More information on public transit can be found here.
D. Take the Logan Express to Braintree: This bus stops at all terminals. Marriott offers a free shuttle from the Braintree Logan Express station to the hotel. Call the hotel for schedule and availability: 617-472-1000. More information on the Logan Express can be found here.

3. What's the easiest way to get to Boston from the hotel?

Drive, taxi/uber and the T are your best options. See more details above!

4. What should I wear?

Our wedding attire is Formal.

While Sarah loves that the first day of Spring is March 20, it will likely still be quite cold in Boston. On this day in 2017, the high was 47 and the low was 27.

BOSTON FAQ

1. What can we do in the area?

If you're in the Boston area before/after the wedding, there are lots of options! Consider:

A. Walking the Freedom Trail.
B. Touring the USS Constitution.
C. Checking out some great indoor activities like the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Science, the Boston Public Library, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the John F. Kennedy Library or the New England Aquarium.
D. Visiting local breweries like: Harpoon (in the Seaport), Sam Adams (in Tom's old Boston 'hood, Jamaica Plain), Night Shift (just north of the city, in Everett) or Jack's Abby (in Framingham, home to the Framingham Heart Study and Sarah's office).

Just want to relax? That's cool, too. There's a fitness center and indoor pool at the hotel.

2. I forgot crucial items and need to go shopping. Where do I go?

The Marriott is less than a 10 minute drive from South Shore Plaza in Braintree.

3. I miss my local HomeGoods. Is there one here?

Funny you should ask! There are several great HomeGoods stores in nearby Newton, Braintree and Norwell. Or visit the Westwood location and check out the new Homesense store while you're there.
